Since 1995 there has been close communication
between Sculpture Association of Taiwan and Verein für Bildende Kunst
Atelier Yin Yang. Since that time intense cultural exchange has taken
place. It was in the summer of 1995 that Yin-Yang Club organised an international
workshop. Members of Atelier Yin Yang worked together with twenty popular
Taiwanese sculptors and realized a number of various projects. The Sculpture
Association of Taiwan on their part invited the Yin Yang Club in 1997.
Consequently fourteen members of our art-club as well as artists from
Hungary and Czechia participated in a workshop held in Taiwan. The artwork
created there - sculpture, painting, installation - was exhibited in the
Taipeh Youthcenter. and highly appreciated by the public. A detailed catalogue
was published afterwards. |

In the summer of 2001 Verein für Bildende Kunst
Atelier Yin Yang organized the third meeting of the two institutions.
Beyond the works produced so far - mainly sculpture and painting - net
work supported by new media has been emphasized this time. The published works
comprised internet projects, video and photography. The
first project was attended from Styria and Taiwan simultaneosly and
is meant to be the "keypoint" of the far/near:east/west idea. The
workshop ended with public exhibitions of the works created during
the workshop in Graz and Bad Gams. |
